Ravenscraig Developments

New homes and developments for sale near Motherwell

Over the past decade, Ravenscraig has been transformed. The site – a key part of Scotland’s industrial heritage – lay derelict for years but is now home to one of Europe’s largest urban regeneration projects. Investment of more than £250m has brought fresh life to the 1,200 acre site near Motherwell, with Ravenscraig now a thriving community with approximately 1,000 new build homes, a popular sports and community centre, college, the Raven’s Cliff pub and restaurant and the Raven’s Cliff hotel.

Over the coming year, we will see more significant development in Ravenscraig, including the creation of Active Travel Links, additional new build affordable housing, neighbourhood retail opportunities and transport infrastructure. The revised Masterplan will regenerate the site with sustainability and inclusive growth at its heart. As well as access to significant green space and nature, there will be employment opportunities for people living in and around the town of Ravenscraig.

Employment opportunities play a central role in the development plans of Ravenscraig, with conversations already underway with potential retail, leisure and logistics opportunities. These further planned additions will ensure that Ravenscraig’s impressive transformation continues over the next ten years and beyond.
