new jobs & skills development

As one of the largest construction projects in Scotland, Ravenscraig provides the potential to generate hundreds of local jobs.

In partnership with Scottish Enterprise Lanarkshire, Ravenscraig Ltd is working to optimise the job opportunities for local people with a skills development programme ensuring that they can take advantage of the new investment and activity. This includes training opportunities for the long term unemployed.

The first phase infrastructure works have already seen 100 long term unemployed people being given training through the Balfour Beatty contract.
