first phase development

Ravenscraig Ltd has appointed Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering to undertake platforming and road works for the first phase of the project. Core Utilities have been appointed to provide an integrated approach to services provision.

This will lead to the construction of over 800 new houses, a new 200,000ft state-of-the-art campus for Motherwell College and a regional indoor and outdoor sports facility. All three elements will commence on site in early 2008, and produce over £200m of investment on 100 acres of the site.
